このブラックデニムはいわゆるジーンズと同じ色落ちをする、ロープ（先）染めデニムです。
ですからアタリの部分はグレーから白に変化します。
厚地ですがほどほどに柔らかく、おそらく縫いやすいのでビギナーにお勧めします。

The loom that made it is a very old shuttle change machine.
About the weaving method, if the warp tension is weakened, it becomes a rough and classic denim.
But if it is too weak, the shuttle often gets caught in the warp and pops out of the loom. So major mills don't do it because it is dangerous and inefficient.
This denim was woven with the ultimate low tension by a skilled craftsman.
That's why amazing denim. Of course weft is super slub(MURA) yarn. You will see a unique fade like a cross hatch.
If you bought this, you would think, "The elephant may be smoother than this denim."
This denim is produced in the Ibara area of Okayama in Japan.

737sのキバタバージョン。縮み後には13オンス程度まで密度が上がります。
経糸、緯糸ともにムラ糸（スラブ）を使用しているため、穿き込むほどにクラシックデニムならではの格子柄のような独特の風合いが生まれます。
さらに経糸は硫化グレーの追い染めなので渋めのブルーが期待できます。

Wabashと呼ばれるオールドスタイルのインディゴ＆ドットストライプです。
小さなドットはすべて色抜きの手法で作られています。非常に手間のかかる作業なので、安価な生地は存在しません。
縦糸はロープ染色なので、デニムのような色落ちが見られます。ストライプが消えることはありません。
オーバーオールのような作業着に適していますが、昔は礼服にも使われました。

ネップは繰り返しの洗濯で徐々に取れますが、緯糸のスラブ感は残るのでユニークな色落ちになるはずです。
This denim was made in small quantities on an experimental basis.
Ｗeft is nep yarn. The warp is a #10 rope-dyed yarn.

アメリカの1800年代後半に一般的であったと思われる軽めな2x1 左綾ブルーデニムを意識していますが巾は汎用性がある48インチ相当なので幅広い用途に使えます。
未防縮なので洗い後は10オンス程度に変化します。
This is a rare denim with a light ounce Kibata finish that was produced in small quantities for a special occasion.
It is a lightweight 2x1 left twill blue denim that was common in the late 1800s in the U.S., but the width is equivalent to 48 inches, which makes it versatile enough for a wide range of uses.
It is unshrunken, so it will change to about 10 0z after washing.

表記のOz,Width,Shrinkage(オンス、巾、縮率)は相対化するために独自に計測したものです。そのため、同種のメーカーの表記とは違う場合もあります。
縮みについて---特に表記のないデニムは防縮加工をされています。ジーンズの場合丈を３-4パーセント程度長くして下さい。織りの緩めな生地ほど縮む傾向にありますが、同時に伸びやすさもあるのでウエスト等の修正はあまり気を使う必要はないでしょう。
Selvedge Denimとは---生地端に耳のついたシングル巾（70-85センチ）のデニムです。一般的な倍巾デニム（２メートル近いロール）を個人で運んだり広げたりなどでは取り回しが大変です。又、Selvedge Denimは耳を生かす事でロック処理が省けます。Selvedge Denimはその点だけでも非常に楽です。又,ほぼ日本だけが永続的に生産しているマニアックな生地です。
